AUGUST, Ga. — Moments after the 2024 Masters, Ted Scott — holding tight to No. 18 flag stick — wiped away tears.

“I don't know how I get to do this,” said Scott, who had just captured his fourth Masters as a caddie.

After two triumphs in three years with Scheffler, the serene looper from Lafayette will again carry his bag this week. If Scott wins, he’d match Willie Peterson (five with Jack Nicklaus) and Pappy Stokes (five with four players) for most victories in caddie history.

Scott was also on the bag for Bubba Watson's wins in 2012 and 2014.

For 2025, 95 players are set to compete, while only eight will be caddied by someone with a Masters title (* denotes player and caddie who won the Masters together):

Adam Hayes (2023), Jon Rahm*

Ted Scott (2012, 2014, 2022, 2024), Scottie Scheffler*

Joe LaCava (1992, 2019), Patrick Cantlay

Michael Greller (2015), Jordan Spieth*

Jonathan Smart (2016), Noah Kent

Kessler Karain (2018), Patrick Reed*

Austin Johnson (2020), Dustin Johnson*

***** Hayafuji (2021), Hideki Matsuyama*
