We were scheduled to meet with Kyle Reis of The Cardinal Nation and Wednesdays with Walton and Reis, however, due to a last-minute cancellation, it was a throwback episode with the three of us talking shop! I will reschedule with Kyle and have him back at a later date in the season! We did celebrate the return of our own Scott Plaza on this episode, now that softball is over and life has settled down a bit for him!
In this week’s episode, we talk about Bryan Torres incredible debut against the Reds, what his future role on the team might be and how many rounds of roster crunches he might survive as other players return from the IL. Other topics discussed include Brycen Mautz’s unfortunate timing for his MLB debut, Lars Nootbaar nearing his season debut, taking the temperature on a Jordan Walker extension, and what we’re looking forward to at this week’s “Blogger Day” event with Cardinals POBO Chaim Bloom.
