The addition of Kyler Murray sealed the deal for the end of the J.J. McCarthy era in Minnesota. The Vikings have a quarterback competition to decide who will ultimately start, but in the eyes of one analyst, it shouldn't be a hard one to decide.

Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski wrote up a to-do list for every NFL team. For the Vikings, he gave them three things, with one of them being that they name Kyler Murray their starter for the 2026 season.

He writes, "The Minnesota Vikings need a jump-start on both sides of the ball, specifically when dealing with those leading their particular units. Offensively, Kyler Murray is the obvious choice to become the team's starting quarterback. His experience and superior arm talent, as well as athleticism, compared to JJ McCarthy will give the Vikings the best chance to rejoin the NFC's winning teams."

Murray is going to be in the best offense of his NFL career in Minnesota. Between the coaching staff, skill players, and offensive line, he has a chance to have a breakout if he earns the job.
