Well many on the board have differed with me about Ossenfort. So I’ll call him out on this draft because I think he’ll be here. The Cards have 3 picks in the top 65 picks in the draft. In round one they pick third and they should get an immediate starter who becomes an All-Pro, by year 2, with a pick that high. In round two they have pick 34, the second pick of the round. That pick should provide an immediate starting player. Finally in round 3 they have the first pick, number 65. Round 3 is usually a part-time player or contributor, some of whom grow into starters. At 65 I believe they should get a player who becomes the permanent starter at some point next year. That’s 3 starters from that draft. I’ll talk more about specific players as we go along. Additionally Free Agency will be critical if they are going to get things turned around quickly.
