For crying out loud Cheese. We have an opposing fan on this thread giving us static and when a Card fan answers him, you jump on the Card fan. Whose side are you on?

I'm talking football - nothing more, nothing less. Am I supposed to come on here and lie about what I think? That would be incredibly stupid not to mention more of a waste of time than usual on this board (even though I love wasting time).

just because a Steeler fan jumps into a thread started by another Cardinal fan doesn't mean I have to whistlin' dixie about our team. Yeesh.

Thank You.

so I guess that if a Steeler fan comes on a thread, that means everyone should just pounce on him and stop tlaking about football like we normally do. That makes sense.

Good lord.

Now, back to football discussion - will you answer my question how the Steelers not faced an offense like ours even though they faced and completely shut down a Cleveland team that has scored 20 more points than us and in their two games sans the Steelers are averging 35 points per game?

Selective reasoning. Sans the Bengals game Cleveland is averaging 15.5 pts/gm.

Come on cheese, with a straight face say that you think the Browns have a better offense than the Cardinals...

Even without selective reasoning, their offense is averaging 27 ppg. Which is better than ours.

with more yards rushing, a starting QB with much better numbers than our starter, and outscoring our offense by 20 points so far, how can you with a straight face say our offense is better than theirs? They've proved ON THE FIELD that they are better on offense in every single category. Perception (what people thought the Cards offense would be and should be) is different from reality, especially with Matty as our QB right now.

Charlie Frye imploded in that game. When Derek Anderson came in he did a passable job considering the hole the Brownies dug themselves. This was the game the Steel Curtain racked up six sacks. I think five of them were on Frye. Shortly thereafter, Charlie was sent packing to Seattle. Frye is probably the worst QB the Steelers have faced thru week 3 IMO. I just hope the Steelers don't do to Matt what they did to Frye.

ah, yes. good point. forgot about that.

all that being said, our offense hasn't shown to be anything special with Matt at the helm and I don't know how anyone could try to argue otherwise. Saying they haven't faced anyone like us isn't saying much considering how mediocre-bad we've been with Matty in there.

I won't go back and forth with you on this, because you wouldn't concede a point if it was the tip of a stake driven into your chest.
