Like how? That is a ridiculous claim, especially since you don't back it up.
I already said it came off as half assed. They were going for something powerful and it just wasn’t. Showrunner said something to the effect of it coming off as generic.

You specifically said Greys Anatomy which is the exact opposite of realism.

So there’s what… 4 episodes left? And I started thinking about the fact the shift is almost over, what exactly is going to be the big emotional push towards a crescendo/finale and possible cliffhanger AND the little things they’ve dropped about Robbie a) wanting to get out, possibly permanently and b) going on this motorcycle trip and c) the attention paid to him never wearing a helmet and I kinda have a theory where the last couple episodes of the season are leading.

Robbie’s shift ends, he leaves… and an episode later or however much time passes, he ends up in a big accident, with no helmet on and the crew has to save him to the end the season.

I HOPE that’s NOT the case, because it could be kinda schmaltzy, or they could pull that off great. But the shift is def coming to an end, there’s no BIG THING going on right now moving toward a finale and they’ve foreshadowed a lot of “this place will exist without you, Robbie” plus the whole doctors hating people driving motorcycles without helmets especially, etc.

Oh wait… there’s only 3 episodes left? Maybe not.

I think there may be some emotional big events, but no physical ones this season. Maybe a mini event (fireworks explosion or something) but nothing on last years level (maybe a Robbie cliffhanger like you mentioned).

I stopped watching Grey's years ago. I think after they killed DS? I don't recall. The wife still watched. Just too soapy. This show is so not that. I love it.

I thought the finale was pretty low key, was expecting something bigger from Santos, but I thought the finale was the greatest acting Noah Wyle has done in his entire career. He won the emmy again from that performance.

Langdon confronting Robbie like that was unexpected considering how he'd been pretty much begging for his approval the entire season. And I didn't have Dr.'s King and Santos doing karaoke together on my bingo card.

these writers are so much better than I am. with this show, less is more. Very happy with the way the season turned out. Not as incredible as Season 1, but still a great follow up season that proved it didn't need the spectacle of season 1 to keep my interest.

I was definitely curious what you thought of the later episodes.
