The hate he gets is hilarious. He was an extremely important player for the Suns and they were MUCH better with him on the court than they were off of it.

He is a terrible shooter but he is solid to great at everything else.

Rebounding? “Solid to great?” For a center?

cmon, no one guards Oso. Same game plan this year.
Also, down the stretch teams were looking to get their scorers switched onto Gillespie when he was the floor. The NBA is merciless. That's part of the reason Booker had spacing problems and double teams last season. Suns were playing with weaknesses on offense and defense.

I believe from what I have seen, Man Man is better on offense than Oso. The key is can Man Man not be a liability on defense?

Let's see what this new starting five can muster. If Ott is Ott from last year, we still may have Oso playing key minutes.

you do know that "screen" assists is a very specific assist stat?

and that in a playoff round, there's a game 1, game 2, and very often a game 5, game 6, and 7. And most often, the game 5, 6, and 7 are the highly pressured series deciders that separates the winners from the losers. And Booker has lost how many playoff games in a row now, 10? 11?

i'd use Jalen Brunson as the right example, but unlike your hero who endorses your sneakers, Brunson was so effective closing out games this playoffs (10 WINS in a row) that there usually wasn't a need for a game 5, 6, and 7.

This is an Oso thread, not a Booker Hate thread.

Uh, I kept yelling during the playoffs for Man Man to get on the court. Players seemed to actively avoid the middle when Man Man was in there. An almost Wemby-like effect, if I dare say so.
Yeah, I noted that as well. Man Man is not blocking that many shots, but he is altering the other team's play. With Oso, guys crossing the paint on the dribble were stopping in the paint and shooting. With Man Man, they continued through the lane and tended to pass the ball out to the perimeter.

if oso ighodaro develops a true jumper (while continuing to drive and improve at the pick and roll) before we get bradley beal paid off - no mo oso - we won't be able to afford him - not with all the other extensions coming up

if oso just puts on a legit 10-15 pounds and improves on rebounds he's getting paid - free throws be damned

if oso adds all 3 - lol - the jumpshot the size and the free throws - that's aaron gordon - that's $103 million for 3 years

Settle down...

5.5 points
4.5 rebountds
2 assists (decent!)
3pt % 0
FT% 49 - not good, horrible

He's a career backup, going to be journeyman.
This is one where he looks good to the eyes since we were down on centers and forwards.

you can cherry pick the stats bro - oso is still a special player - super unique between his size - high i.q. and skill set

he is most definitely a backup as is - i'm really excited to see him battle against other backups this year rather than the all stars he tried to keep up with last year

but my favorite part was how you included his 3pt % lol - khaman man - no blocked shots per game - no regular fg% or fg% in the paint

i still wanna see oso play power forward alongside a center who can bury the 3 - that's when ish is gonna get crazy

those are basic stats that come up when you search "oso ighodaro stats"

you just cherry picked ManMan's stats..

ManMan
3.0 points
2.9 rebountds
0.1 assists (decent!)
3pt % 23.8
FT% 71.0

I posted stats based because you mentioned his jumper and shooting

(free throws be dammed)
