Whoa, hold your horses on the "we all thought he was." A lot of us were bashing him from the get go for his idiotic draft penalty chasing Gannon, failing to retain our best players, and rolling over and playing dead in year 1. He was bottom shelf from, well, the get go.

Yes, of course after he signs with the Broncos he says that. The Cardinals letting him go for nothing was a huge mistake, compounded by "replacing" him with scrubs like Jones and Nichols.

Remind me what Monti does well in FA? If acquiring and paying good money to Josh Sweat is the answer, that's not good.

Byron Murphy Jr wanted out based on how the Cardinals medical staff dealt with his back injury during the season. He was all too happy to get away from the Cardinals.

They could have franchised Allen. They had the money.

More to that...Denver paid Allen 15 per year and the franchise tag for DEs was 19.7. So it would not have been a huge overpay to franchise him.
