Granted, certain elements may not hold up all that well when looking back on the famed days of the Monday Night Wars, but for those of us who lived through it in real time, it was an absolutely insane time to be a pro wrestling fan.

With WCW deciding to make the bold choice to launch the live Nitro in 1995 to go head-to-head with the pre-taped WWE Raw on Monday nights, that upped the ante in a way that few saw coming. Before you knew it, names long synonymous with WWE were shockingly turning up on WCW Nitro and vice versa. It wasn't just those shock appearances, though, for there was also the rise of names that would go on to dominate the second half of the '90s and beyond, be that 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and The Rock, or Goldberg and, well, just Goldberg really, as WCW ultimately left it far too late before it started to shine a true main event spotlight on the likes of Booker T, Scott Steiner, and some of the younger talent on its roster.

But man, what a ride it was! To this day, when thinking of the greatest wrestling moments and memories, so many wrestling fans will automatically circle back to something from the Monday Night Wars, be that from WCW's 83 weeks of untouched dominance, or from a WWE that was finally starting to embrace a whole new attitude.
