The Finals: Vote for the Blue FCU 2025-26 Girls Athlete of the Year

Who was the top high school girls athlete in the Fort Collins area this school year?

You tell us.

And so there were two. It's down to the championship matchup in the bracket for the Blue Federal Credit Union 2025-26 top Fort Collins-area girls athlete after a spirited semifinal round of voting.

Here are the Final Four results:

• Cody Monajjem, Wellington swimming (63.6%) vs. Addyson Smith, Fossil Ridge track and field/PSD flag football (36.4%)
• Lily Wale, Fossil Ridge soccer/track (88.7%) vs. Reese Morgan, Fossil Ridge soccer (11.3%)

This championship round of voting will run until June 19 (ending at 11:59 a.m.), and the top vote-getter will be crowned Blue Federal Credit Union's top girls athlete of the 2025-26 high school sports season.

The official winner will be announced June 20 at coloradoan.com/sports.

Fans, you can find the ballot below to vote for your favorite player in the finals.

This title matchup features two state champions and some of the top athletes in all of Colorado who went out on top in their senior seasons.

The resumes:

• Monajjem: The Eagles senior swim star won a state title for third consecutive season, this time in the 200-yard freestyle. Also finished runner-up in 100 backstroke and was named 3A Swimmer of the Year. Led Eagles relay units to a pair of top-five finishes at state.
• Wale: The senior forward was a primary force in driving Fossil back to another state championship with seven goals and a team-best 13 assists. Also a state track qualifier and 400-meter city track champ while running on top-five Fossil 4x800 relay at state.
