Cape Coral put itself on the pickleball map with the opening of the Lake Kennedy Racquet Center in 2024.
Built at a cost of more than $11 million as one of the first projects in the city's $60 million Park and Recreation GO bond initiative, the center, now known as The Courts Cape Coral, features 32 pickleball and 12 tennis courts. It's proven to be extremely popular, with well over 2,000 members participating in league and open play.
Here are some things to know about The Courts Cape Coral.
The Courts Cape Coral, located at 420 SW 2nd Ave., is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Courts offer memberships for individuals, couples and families on a monthly, annual, or seasonal basis. There is also an annual junior membership for players under 18 for $100.
Below are the membership rates for each category.
Individual: $65/month, $250/year or $200/season (Oct. 1-April 30)
Couples: $85/month, $350/year or $300/season
Families (up to 6): $110/month, $500/year or $450/season
No, but non-members must create an online account at playthecourtscapecoral.com to reserve a court. The prices for Cape Coral residents are $10 per day for individuals, $15 for couples and $20 for families. Non-Cape residents pay $20 per day per person.
Yes, The Courts Cape Coral offers both private and semi-private lessons for both members and non-members of all skill levels.
The Courts Cape Coral features a variety of activities for junior players, including pickleball clinics, leagues and a summer camp.
The camp offers both half-day and full-day options and runs from June 8 through July 24, 2026.
