This is one of the weirdest most random shows that I have ever watched (but thoroughly entertaining). If you like Tim Robinson then you will probably like the show, if not, you’ll probably hate it.

2000s belonged to Will Ferrell's sweet, but out of control manchild comedy.

2010s belonged to Danny McBride's douchebag, out of control manchild comedy.

2020s belong to Tim Robinson's cringe, bizarre out of control manchild comedy.

I like Robinson's stuff and the tone fits the times we're living in, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy McBride's and Ferrell's heydays more.

For some reason I just couldn’t get into McBride. Everything he did (and wrote) just annoyed me for some reason. Recently though I finally watched The Royal Gemstones and it definitely made me like him a bit more. I enjoy the sheer randomness of Robinson, although the cringiness does make me feel uncomfortable at times (but I’m pretty sure that is the point).

Episode 5 might have been the most unhinged 30 minutes of television that I have ever watched. And for a show that is impossible to predict, the last 15 seconds was pretty much the last thing I was expecting to see.

Yeah… that was… something.

HBO’s dramas have gone to crap for me… original shows just replaced by so much franchise fare, but man… they have always let their freak flag fly with comedies and I hope that doesn’t change whenever WB gets gobbled up by whatever massive media conglomerate merges next.

Nothing this year will top the absolutely unhinged, multi-layered genius of episode 3 of Season 2 of The Rehearsal, but this last episode of The Chair Company definitely gave it a shot.

Can't believe you didn't like Eastbound more..Eastbound to me is far better than Vice Principals or Gemstones.

I need to go back and give Eastbound another shot. I watched the first few episodes when it originally came out, but that was back when I really couldn’t stand McBride. Maybe I will enjoy it more now.

Kenny Powers was the role he was born to play. So many other great supporting actors/tresses in this one as well. Give it a second go.

It stands heads and tails above both for me. One of the best comedy series ever. Gemstones was good with one legit season of greatness (think it was season 2). Vice Principals I couldn’t really get into.

The whole two white guys trying to destroy the black woman in a position of power in Vice Principals was too cringey. Not a great use of the talents involved.
