In what people thought would be a quiet offseason for the Philadelphia 76ers after parting ways with Daryl Morey, it seems they are in the headlines yet again. They made a surprising trade by getting Jaylen Brown for Paul George and a significant haul of draft picks.

Despite the draft picks being costly, it seems the 76ers are happy with getting a superstar who just had his best season. Now, the 76ers want to keep going further by signing a big fish in the 2026 free agency period, and that could be LeBron James, who just left the Los Angeles Lakers.

Many teams are chasing LeBron for his signature in free agency. It feels like it is 2010 all over again, but this time, it is for a 41-year-old version of the same player. Despite his age, he is still a fantastic player, which is why all these teams are chasing him.

The Golden State Warriors are probably the likeliest team, as he would join up with his old rivals, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. However, a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Miami Heat is not being ruled out either.

Now, the 76ers have thrown their hat in the ring, as they could benefit from getting him. Dean Wade is projected as the starting power forward, but that could change if LeBron is willing to join the 76ers. A starting lineup of Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Brown, James, and Embiid could be one of the top contenders in the league.

According to The Athletic's Tony Jones, it seems the 76ers are quite interested in getting the four-time Finals MVP. He could be a game-changer for the 76ers as he has limited competition when it comes to ball-handling duties, and has some decent shooters around him as well.

This 76ers team could be the right team for LeBron, and it would not be surprising if he does end up in Philly. It will be an interesting situation to follow, as LeBron would want to finish his career with a solid run on a good team.
