Shakira tho...
Yeah I do think Shakira is kind of the face of international music or one of them. Madonna is the only part I didn’t care for. She looks like a robot now. Nothing wrong with bieber but he was playing an acoustic ballad at a World Cup. WTH is that. I will say I don’t know that the international fans care for the long halftime show, but I did hear many say that the halftime show was better than the first half.

argentina got messi the ball too little - got him to the side too late - why didn't they mix it up the whole game? play him inside and outside - why does it have to be either/or?

Argentina pushed forward late after they were a man down and had no choice. They were playing for penalties before that. The fact is they were a man down most of the game because Messi doesn’t run. They should have subbed Messi out when Fernandez got sent off. But we know that was never going to happen.

Spain was the better team throughout. Argentina ran out of rabbits to pull out of their arse. FIFA really needs to reign in the drama these guys do every game, quite an embarrassment for the sport.

And I just saw some of the Argentina players antics after the final whistle. Sore losers. I’m glad they lost.

Disgraceful final from Argentina. They deserved to lose... and they did.

There were a lot of great matches in this tournament... and this wasn't one of them.

I don't understand what Argentina was trying to do out of the gate, it got more confusing as the game went on.

They seemingly took every cheap shot they could... loose ball? run through a guy's back. Contested ball in the mid field? Run through a guy's back... then kick him.

They got called for a lot more fouls than Spain and rightfully so, they were lucky they didn't get called for far more.

It really confounds me as to Argentina's strategy, they played this match like they were a massive underdog, this was like watching Luxembourg vs Brazil. Argentina just sat back, in their own box and defended shot after shot, even before they went down to 10 men on a really obvious red.

You're the defending world champions, your captain is arguably the greatest player of all time. And you don't even take a shot until over 100 minutes have gone by, your opposition has taken 20 and with better finishing would be up by 4 or 5 goals, you've also been insanely dirty, you're down to 10 and that is with the ref being kind.... and still you're passive until you finally fall behind.

If Argentina won that match it would have been one of the more revolting sporting outcomes I've ever watched.

Even with all that, and Spain just hammering shots at goal all game, I still kept waiting for the one counter attack that would have changed the game by Argentina. Spain's back line played a great game. They overwhelmed any counter attack chances. The whole back line got back faster than the Argentina attack and formed perfect lines every time. Tip of the cap to Spain.

The game definitely wouldn't have played out the same way, but man imagine if that 3rd place game was the actual Final!
