Their beer is much better than their pastries. If you drink 3 or 4 Duvel by the end of this game the pain will go away.

Best beer in the world is made in Belgium. And I did a lot of research.
For sure Belgium has the best brew. I don’t drink anymore but yeah they leave everyone in their dust taste wise. And you only need a couple of beers there to get tipsy. Duvel should be renamed to devil. A Belgian told me that and he was right.

Yes. Chimay, St. Barnibus, Trappist ales, the best beers in the world. If you live in the Phoenix area, go to the Wren House tap room in Chandler for a treat.

I used to get the chimay’s for pretty cheap on bases when I was abroad. I found a beer called lachouffe when I went to bruge. It wasn’t a bruge beer. It’s actually made in the Ardennes, but it was my favorite beer and I was able to find it around Europe here and there. It was nice because it was a beer that I could drink just one pint or quart and really enjoy it. LaChouffe even had an ipa that was pretty good. But now my drinking days are over. Belgium is a wonderful place.

Well, good while it lasted. The Belgians had better fundamentals, played better as a team, and were coached better. We probably had the better physical athletes. We got as far as we could with our skills, coaching, etc. Belgium was obviously the better team.

US's record against European sides in the last year or so - 0-6

Against Belgium - 0-2 - 9 goals given up.

There's hype, and then there's reality.

Belgian and Danish beers are the best IMO. And NOT Stella and Carlsberg. Chimay blonde and the amber lager from Mikkeller.

Reality is that this is the realistic level of the USNT IMO. Great support and great tournament, but the US defenders especially looked overmatched in this stage of the tournament. The level is round of 16 or round of 8 with a lucky draw.

It is what happens to all teams behind the big teams IMO. The big teams have all 11 and the entire bench playing for Elite teams. The 2nd tier teams do not have that quality of depth and it shows late in the tournament. Occasionally, one 2nd tier team can elevate itself by having one elite player (Ronaldo for Portugal, Modric for Croatia e.g.), but it rarely happens.

I actually think Norway had a chance to be that team this time with Haaland, but they matched up against France, who IMO clearly is the best team.

Bidding for the U.S. media rights to the 2030 FIFA World Cup could start at $1 billion, sources tell FOS.Fox Sports got the English language rights for the current World Cup at the bargain price of $485 million. But after record ratings, it's now a seller's market for FIFA.

The VAR review well after it happened is just BS. I am a not a soccer fan, only watch because of the WC in USA. That should be goal #2 for Egypt. The guy got his small toe stepped on and they reversed it. FIFA looking to keep Messi and Argentina in it. My tolerance for the flopping in agony every 30 seconds has run out.

Argentina isn't shooting (hmm reminds me of something...), they have tons of possession but aren't doing anything with it. Now Egypt can sit back even more.
