I meant worst case for Golden State. Kuminga is their primary asset and was supposed to be their bridge from Steph to the new crop of talent. Definitely not worst case for us.
I'm not sold on Kuminga. I'd swap Grayson, Richards, and Oso for him and a 2nd rounder. I would rather pay Kuminga than Grayson, even if he's on the books for an extra year and a Nick Richards contract difference annually. Including Richards and Oso is a little too much for me. I think Oso or Richards is worth a 2nd rounder, at least, so both would be a tough sell.
Kuminga has the leverage with Golden State. All reports I've read have him in the driver seat. Either he signs a QO or an offer sheet somewhere and tells them not to match. Wanting out makes sense for him since Kerr doesn't seem to trust him but it is also a red flag since he can't see consistent minutes on a team in desperate need of size.
