This year, the AFC’s true short-list contenders are the Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Bengals, and Texans. The Broncos and Chargers could force their way into the conversation.

In the NFC, it’s the Eagles, Lions, Rams, 49ers, and Commanders. Maybe the Buccaneers. Maybe the Vikings.

I'll buy the Commanders when I see it. I don't see them all that much better than us if I'm being honest. Niners are just recency bias.

I'd put the Packers ahead of the Buccaneers for sure. I'm skeptical of the 49ers and Vikings, too. Contenders, sure, but "short list", not so sure.

They were just in the NFC Championship game. We were 8-9. They curb stomped us.
True, but you're telling me you wouldn't like our chances against them right now? A juggernaut they are not. They stomped us, but also got curb stomped themselves in that same NFC championship game by an eagles team that should have lost to an okay Rams team. I like Daniels a lot, but we'll see how they do with a bullseye on their back.
