On Sunday afternoon, Texas baseball will close out a dramatic weekend at Auburn.
A series win will be on the line for No. 2 Texas (19-3, 3-2) and No. 5 Auburn (19-3, 4-1) at Plainsman Park. Auburn opened this SEC series on Friday with a 4-3 win before the Longhorns responded with Saturday's 7-6 success.

Both of this weekend's games were decided in the bottom of the ninth inning. On Friday, Auburn rallied past the Longhorns when it cleared a bases-loaded situation with Bristol Carter's two-run single and Aiden Robbins' subsequent error in center field. Auburn again tried to complete a comeback against Texas when it loaded the bases with two outs in the ninth inning of Saturday's showdown, but UT third baseman Temo Becerra fielded a game-ending ground ball to secure the win.
Dating back to the 2025 season, three of the five games that Texas and Auburn have played against each other have been decided by one run.
