I guess they figured that if things get shut down due to a Covid outbreak after the season starts, they'll at least have this played

Not a fan. Like it as the final (or almost final) game of the regular season.

Honestly I'd rather scrap the territorial cup. I'd swap it for Washington AND Stanford.

A brawl always breaks out somewhere and unless I'm drunk, I'm over it.

Oh this year is in Tucson? Who cares do whatever.

It will feel like opening against NAU for the Devils though.

I prefer the two teams play at the end of the regular season but it is what it is.

We will be lucky to have college football.

It looks like we may get our wish and the rivalry game may be moved until the end of the year or later in the season.

    From Arizona Sports:

Crow said Monday while joining the The Mike Broomhead Show on KTAR News 92.3 FM that he expects the rivalry football game will move to the end of the year.

“If we can’t hold a game on that (Sept. 26) weekend, then it gets moved to the end of the season. Looking at things the way they look right now, that’s more probable than actually playing on that day,” he said.
