Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson meet tonight in boxing’s first really big main event of 2026, as the two vie for Lopez’s WBO super lightweight title at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Lopez (22-1, 13 KO) won this title in 2023 and has successfully defended three times, but Stevenson (24-0, 11 KO) is his toughest challenge at 140 to date, even with Shakur moving up in weight. Stevenson has won world titles at 126, 130, and 135, and aims to make it four divisions this evening.
We’ll also see Keyshawn Davis moving up in weight to 140 himself, facing Jamaine Ortiz, plus Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington facing Carlos Castro for the vacant WBC featherweight title, and more. The originally planned WBC middleweight title fight between Carlos Adames and Austin “Ammo” Williams is off, but Williams will still fight on the card, facing Wendy Toussaint.
