Mike Borgonzi and the Tennessee Titans’ front office wrapped up Friday by adding another name to their head coaching search.

NFL Insider Tom Pelissero posted on social media that the Titans will interview recently fired Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel on Wednesday, adding another former head coach to the list of potential candidates.

McDaniel has been a hot name on social media with Titans fans, who were viewing him more as an offensive coordinator candidate than a head coach, especially after news broke that Tennessee requested an interview with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.

Widely considered one of the top offensive minds in the league, McDaniel has been average as a head coach with the Dolphins, accumulating a 35-33 record and two playoff appearances in his four seasons at the helm.

The addition of McDaniel now brings the number of initial interviews in the Titans’ coaching search to 16, and more names could be added in the future.
