Bearden safety Kenneth Simon II and West linebacker JP Peace both received offers from Tennessee football May 12, according to social media posts on their X accounts.

Peace (6-3, 215-pound) is the grandson of former Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer and son of former Vols linebacker Robert Peace who played from 2000-2003. The West sophomore has no official rating with 247Sports but has 10 offers, including Florida State, UAB, Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt among others.

He guided West to a 9-4 record and a TSSAA Class 5A state quarterfinal appearance, losing to eventual state champion Sevier County. Entering that game against Sevier County, Peace was sixth on the team in tackles (51.5) with 4.5 sacks, an interception, fumble recovery, a forced fumble.

Simon (6-foot-2, 198 pounds) is a four-star prospect, rated as the No. 10-ranked player in Tennessee and 27th-ranked safety in the nation for the 2027 class, according to 247Sports Composite. The Vols are among 19 schools that have offered the sophomore star that includes Florida, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Vanderbilt and Memphis among others.

Simon also has UT roots. His father, Kevin Simon played linebacker for Tennessee from 2001-2005, was a two-time All SEC selection and was a seventh-round selection by Washington in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Kenneth Simon II had 30 tackles, six for a loss, a sack, an interception and two pass break-ups while helping guide Bearden to a 9-4 record and a TSSAA Class 6A playoff quarterfinal appearance.

Power 4 schools began offering the sophomore just after Bearden's opening round playoff win against Jefferson County last November. He picked up four that month from Purdue, Kentucky, Louisville and Vanderbilt. He participated in Tennessee's Junior Day in January and took a pair of unofficial visits in March and one in April before Vols coach Josh Heupel made the offer May 12.
