Tennessee baseball and Auburn are in a weather delay for the fourth time during their series.
Vols pitcher Nate Snead threw one pitch in the top of the 10th inning before players were called off the field with rain heavily falling at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
No. 6 Tennessee tied No. 11 Auburn 4-4 on a Dalton Bargo homer in the ninth inning with one out. The Tigers took a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth.
UT lost the first game of the doubleheader 6-1 in a game that started after a 35-minute delay.
The teams resumed the opener at 11:35 a.m. ET after it was suspended after a half-inning amid two lengthy weather delays May 2. The No. 6 Vols trailed the No. 11 Tigers 2-0 heading into the bottom of the first when play resumed.
The opener was slated to start at 6:30 p.m. May 2, but was moved up to 5:30 p.m. due to the expected inclement weather. A delay was announced at 4:54 p.m. and a further delay was announced a half-hour later.
The game started at 8:02 p.m. in a downpour after a 2-hour, 32-minute delay and stopped at 8:16 p.m. as umpires deemed the mound unfit. The game was suspended after a 1-hour, 43-minute delay.
Tennessee (36-9, 13-8 SEC) has won straight series against the Tigers (31-14, 11-10), winning two of three at Auburn in 2024 and winning a pair in a 2022 series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Tennessee has lost back-to-back home series, the first time it has lost two home series in the same season since 2021.
