Oak Ridge High School (Oak Ridge, Tennessee) defeated Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, Tennessee), 5-3, Thursday in Game 2 of a TSSAA Class 4A state sectional game at Bobby Hopkins Field in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

With the victory, the Wildcats, won the best-of-three series, 2-0, and advance to the state tournament for a third consecutive season.

2026 Tennessee baseball signee Michael Teasley pitched a complete game for Oak Ridge. He allowed three runs (two earned), six hits and two walks. Teasley recorded 13 strikeouts and two walks. He also went 1-for-3 in the game, recording one triple and scoring one run.

Teasley is a senior pitcher and third baseman for the Wildcats. He signed with the Vols on Jan. 28 after committing to Tennessee on Oct. 20, 2024. Teasley was named District 4-4A Pitcher of the Year by the league's coaches and was named First-Team All-District. He was honored as the 2025 Tennessee Mr. Baseball and is a finalist for the award in 2026.

The future Vol has led the Wildcats to consecutive appearances in the TSSAA Class 4A state tournament. Teasley was named District 3-4A Player of the Year as a junior in 2025 and earned All-State honors from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.
