Tennessee baseball signee Gary Morse, a right-handed pitcher, will play for Tennessee next season after going through the 2026 MLB Draft process, according to multiple reports on July 12.
Morse, who went unselected in the first 10 rounds, is ranked by Perfect Game as the fourth-best right-handed pitching prospect in California and No. 94 recruit nationally. He entered the draft ranked as the No. 141 prospect by MLB Pipeline and No. 98 by ESPN.
The 6-foot-8 Morse holds the career strikeouts record at Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, California, near Anaheim, topping a list of alumni that includes Gerrit Cole. He committed to Tennessee in January 2025, choosing the Vols over Vanderbilt and Texas A&M, among others.
