American tennis player Taylor Fritz earned a landmark 250th career hardcourt victory on July 27, 2026, at the Mubadala DC Open.
The 28-year-old native Californian and 2024 US Open finalist’s game suits the hardcourts, but he has achieved wins on all surfaces.
He was a 2026 Wimbledon quarterfinalst, a remarkable accomplishment given the knee injury that hampered him this year, and with Tommy Paul, the 2024 Paris Olympics men’s doubles bronze medalists on the Roland Garros clay.

When Fritz stopped by to talk to Tennis Channel after his win over Zizou Bergs, he talked about a host of topics.
Stevie Johnson called him an elder statesman, a comment that Brett Haber asked Fritz about. Fritz, who turned pro in 2015, acknowledged that it is true.

Tommy Paul’s wedding was an obvious topic as Fritz was a groomsman. Haber asked him if he was the best dancer. Fritz admitted he is a terrible dancer. He also said Big Foe (Frances Tiafoe) was the life of the party.
Haber asked him about the viral social media post of Fritz acting like the jilted partner in his wedding attire. Fritz said he saw this post a month before and saved it, knowing it was perfect for the Paul wedding.
