Tarik Skubal could not hold back his emotions when speaking to the media after his trade to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers traded Zyhir Hope, River Ryan and Brady Smith for the Detroit Tigers’ superstar pitcher on Saturday.
Skubal has spent the last six years in Detroit, winning two Cy Young Awards and making two All-Star appearances.
He will now join Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Max Muncy on the star-studded Dodgers.

What Tarik Skubal said after leaving the Detroit Tigers
Even though playing for the Dodgers is an incredible opportunity, Tarik Skubal was disappointed to be leaving the Tigers.
He was almost brought to tears when speaking about leaving the Tigers after spending his entire MLB career there.
Skubal said, “The goal was always to win a World Series for this city and this organisation that took a chance on me, so it’s tough.
“I love all those guys in there. They are some of my best friends. It will be tough, for sure.”
While holding back the tears, Skubal explained that was he was “excited” to be joining the back-to-back defending champions in LA.
He continued: “Yeah, it’s exciting. I’m excited. They have a good group.”
The Dodgers are significant favourites to win their third consecutive World Series this season, especially with Skubal on the team.
