Which scenario would you prefer?

I prefer the Wolves get the 8 seed and GS and Memphis beat each other to a pulp.

Yep this is the way.

Suns should have no trouble with Wolves, Utah/Dallas in the first 2 rounds. In fact that is almost ideal.

I just don't want the clippers in round 1.

The clippers are so up and down, i'll take the odds playing them. Its just that they have such a good coach. They are so up and down that any one guy can go off, but i like my odds forcing Morris to take all the shots, he's a mini-Demarcus Cousins, all stats no impact.

I disagree.

Marcus Morris has impact. Literally. Especially when he's impacting your best player:

Ideally the Wolves win game 1 vs the Clippers and then the Clippers lose to San Antonio, giving us a matchup with the Spurs.

Pop is a great coach but seems checked out more often than not. I'm surprised he hasn't retired. I think we matchup best with San Antonio compared to all play-in teams though.

The only team that I'd rather not see are the Pelicans. Adding McCollum turned them around quickly and they'll be a 5 or 6 seed next season.

Boston and Memphis are the only teams that truly worry me but yeah, the Clippers are a worse matchup for us than the Spurs or the Pelicans. The main reason I don't like the LAC matchup is that, Beverley notwithstanding, they are the WC team most likely to injure one of our players.

Well, I don't think we're unbeatable by any team but no, the Bucks don't worry me much at all in large part because I think we match up with them very well.

The Nets, 76ers and Warriors all have a chance to become scary teams but the odds of them getting everyone back and on the same page are greatly against them. So barring a miracle fix for one of those three teams I think the best chance of winning it all goes from Phoenix to Memphis, Boston, Miami and then the Bucks.

They're been really good after having time to adjust to Willie Green as their coach and getting McCollum as sort of a 1b to Ingram on offense. Ingram is the better player overall but offensively they're similar. Both can fill it up from anywhere. They also have Valenciunis who is averaging 18 & 11 for the year.

I think handicapping teams in this post season is about as difficult as it’s ever been.
The Suns have been the best team all season and therefore should be expected to win it all. But I don’t think I’m breaking any new ground here if I say that it wouldn’t be a shock at all if they were to fall short again… The separation in talent between the Suns and teams like the Bucks, Warriors, Nets, Boston, Philly, Memphis and Miami is incredibly tight. I can honestly see any of those teams winning it all - if healthy of course.
Should the Suns go all the way this year and finally win that elusive championship, they will have traveled one of the toughest, if not THE toughest roads any champion has even had to travel…

Valanciunas is always a headache for the Suns. He seems to play better against us than many other teams.

We know how good McCollum is but Ingram seems to present a unique problem for the Suns because they don't have anyone that matches up well with him.

Considering this, it's amazing how often the Suns fall in love with the 3-point shot in games where they are clearly missing them.

Losing Payne for any significant period in the playoffs would put the Suns in a precarious position. IMO, the Suns need more than Holiday as a backup in case of fouls or injury.

I'm not sure if I am supposed to fill in the blank but here are a few:

a. If Chris Paul misses games like in the previous playoffs.
b. If Holiday can not effectively run the second unit.
c. Related to b, if Payton is forced to play.

Cam Payne is clearly the second best point guard on the team. The Suns are unlikely to advance far without him.

Sure but Devin does it while typically being the primary focus of the defense.

This team is kinda the opposite of 7SOL. Half court game, defense, midrange, play depth. Interesting.

This Suns team is a lot different than the SSOL teams.

A couple of similarities though are the emphasis on ball movement and spreading the court. How I wish the D'Antoni teams played more defense.
