He started so well and then vanished the further the series went. He has a ton of potential and allows us to now consider a team after Booker. I think this trade signals that Booker isn't as untouchable as some theorized or that the Suns believe he may ask out and are planning for life beyond him.

The Suns may try to move Green. We shall see.

I think the Suns are committed to Booker.

This to me signals Beal is likely done as a Suns player. If you were going to play the “Beal we are going to sit you at home” game until you wave the NTC” you have another SG on the roster.

They can also move picks now. The Suns are not done IMO.

This isn’t about replacing talent for talent at this point. It’s about giving you flexibility to make enough moves to get under the 2nd Apron at this point. I don’t care what the Suns say in public about “retooling”.

Also, keep in mind the Suns MUST get under the 2nd apron our draft position will soon be in jeopardy.

Or it means they could not find a single team that would take Green - more likely.

Maybe. He can be dealt again this off-season as the 60 day wait just takes us to a few weeks before training camp.

Keeping KD longer wasn't helping anyone and was arguably lowering his value. After he killed the Minnesota deal it was clear we didn't have the balls to call his bluff.

Not a bad deal…don’t like the continued trend of thugs/dirty players..Paul,Allen and now Brooks. Should be another deal upcoming

2 and a half years ago it was conceivable that we could get 4+ good years from him. The Rockets are not getting more than maybe 2 good years from him, if they are lucky.
Also it has to be taken into consideration that we were the latest guinea pig for the "KD elevates you to a championship team" theory.
There is proof of concept that worked against us as well.

This deal is OK for now but unless the Suns can parlay some of these picks into getting a legit big man and/or true PG it starts to look worse. For all we know the Suns have other moves in the hopper we don’t know about yet. I don’t think we can judge everything that just went down just yet.

Having said that? This front office was already suspect and this doesn’t help as it stands right now.

We picked Nash at 15 and Booker at 13. So, there is some hope at 10.

Will we now be able to package players?

MID???? No this is a bottom feeder team.
Sadly..... I think we are a pick 9 to pick 15 team for the foreseeable future.

Ishbia is too egotistical to be a bottom feeder.

I think Brooks, Allen, and more might be on the move soon.

Some knocks I've seen on Jalen Green, he was erratic in the playoffs and his salary.
He can be streaky but he is very talented, young, and years away from his prime...
He has a chance to thrive here IMO and gives us something to work with that parallels the true timeline of what it will take to fully undo recent transgressions.

I also think that Book will be traded at some point and will be the main catalyst of the rebuild.

If there is not a player the Suns absolutely love at #10, I can see them trading down for more picks.

Also, they will be looking for other trades.

This is how they restock their cupboard.

sounds to me like ish wanted the highest draft pick he could get in this year's draft - i think we would've picked what? 11th or 13th had we still had our own pick? ish probably considers this a win but idk
