If the Suns don't play again until Sunday or Monday, this gives Booker additional time to get ready to play.

Of course Green should be nearing reevaluation as well. He should be somewhere in between the 4-6 week mark.

Jordan Ott talks about the game tonight.

"First off, give them credit. That's a really good team that played an incredible game. It's OK to be disappointed. We didn't play our best, but we were here. We were in this environment with a lot on the line in December against a really good team. And now, we've got to get better. That message doesn't change, win or lose.

"Suns coach Jordan Ott after 138-89 loss to defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder in NBA Cup quarterfinals to mark worst margin of defeat ever for Phoenix.

"The gap isn't that much in between the two of us, but tonight it was. We have a chance to respond next time we go out, next time we play these guys. They're the standard. They're the standard in the NBA for multiple reasons. Probably this year, they've obviously been the best team. Who knows where they'll end up this season, but that's a really good team that continues to play their style of basketball no matter who is on the court. In this environment, we were excited to play. We just didn't respond."Suns lost 123-119 to OKC in NBA Cup group play last month.

"Got to play harder. That isn't a representation of us as an organization, as a team, coaching staff, players. That ain't us."Dillon Brooks after 138-89 loss to OKC to mark largest margin of defeat ever for Phoenix Suns.On Grayson Allen's flagrant 2: "I think everyone says in the league that (OKC plays) the most physical game and they probably have the less fouls in the league. Hope they can change that crap up."

Grayson Allen talks about the flagrant 2 foul.

Suns guard Grayson Allen on flagrant 2 on Chet Holmgren, ejection: "Felt like I gave a good foul within the physicality of the game and what was going on both ends, especially with the bumps on screens. Some of the hits on blockouts that were happening. It was straight up. He was cutting into me. Definitely a foul, but I thought it was within the physicality of the game. I think the reaction afterwards kind of played into that.

"On if he was surprised it was a flagrant 2: "When (lead officials James Williams) said the explanation, I thought that was the description of a flagrant 1. They looked at it a bunch of times. I didn't feel like there was wind up. I braced myself. Definitely delivered a bump and a hard foul, but it was straight up. It wasn't like Mark (Williams) last game when he was flying in the air (fouled by T-Wolves big Rudy Gobert that led to flagrant 2, ejection).

"On level of physicality reaching a heightened level: "They're obviously a physical team and that's part of their identity. That's part of how when you play against them the game is going to be played. Us as a team, we're a little bit like that, too. Any big games like this, regardless of the score, I feel like physicality is going to build up throughout the game. As players, we just play off of what gets let go and what does/doesn't get called and try to match the lines. I think our game against them got more physical as it went on with us matching their physicality and them matching our physicality. That back-and-forth just kind of builds throughout the game."

I liked JDub a lot until his comments. Chet and Shai seemed to let it go. Chet basically said it is what it is. He even retweeted this angle laughing at Shai's reaction to the foul.

I can only imagine if our owner gave a guy like GM's Sam Presti a boatload of money to be the Suns GM.

it is what it is and it was the best team possibly ever - still - that 50 point drubbing hurt - i know we are an above average team but what does that make okc?

far as patterns go - same as houston we saw a struggling suns team cut the lead only to be eviscerated for doing so - we're good but we're not there - that extra gear still eludes us

a whooping like that can cause friction in a locker room or it can be a reality check for the entire group - i didn't see any suns playing the blame game - not even subtle style - with their teammates

hoping we can take this out on the lukas but the zen master says we'll see

Jalen Williams stirred the pot too much for my liking with his on the court antics. Maybe the referees should have taken a look at this too.

I can't fault the ref's for missing it too much but the league should fine him for his role and/or comments. After seeing Brooks get fined all season, the league needs to start being more consistent across the board.
