Here is what the Suns roster looks like at the moment, post draft, on 6-25-2026.

The Suns can only have three players on two-way contracts so if Fred Hoiberg becomes a two-way player, a change would need to be made. Also, I expect other changes to the roster. This is only a snapshot. We can update it as time passes.

Guards:

Devin Booker PG/SG
Jalen Green SG
Grayson Allen SG
Collin Gillespie PG
Jordan Goodwin PG/SG
Jamaree Bouyea PG

Forwards:

Dillon Brooks SF
Rasheer Fleming PF
Koa Peat PF
Ryan Dunn SF
Royce O'Neale F
Haywood Highsmith F

Centers:

Khaman Maluach C
Oso Ighodoro PF/C
Mark Williams C (RFA)

--------------------------------------

Two-way contracts (maximum three players):

Koby Brea G
Isaiah Livers F
CJ Huntley F
Fred Hoiberg

Livers is most likely gone.

I am really not happy the plan does not seem to be to dump Grayson or Royce.

We already played better when they were off the court last year. I do not want them taking a second from our young players.

Yes, I think we will see a change with at least one of Allen or O'Neale, maybe both.

Livers is a likely candidate to find a home elsewhere. Huntley, I'm not sure about.

So you don't believe Gambo and Gregory when they say they are basically done with the roster?

I don't want to believe them - but unfortunately I do.

I like Huntley. I think he could become our 3rd Center - maybe even second because unlike Oso he can stretch the floor.

I think they mean for now. IMO, this is no way a finished product, and we will see changes up until the trade deadline.

Depth chart would be (considering players in multiple positions)?

1: Booker, Gillespie, Goodwin, Allen, Bouyea, Hoiberg
2: Green, Booker, Allen, Goodwin, Brea
3. Brooks, Dunn, O' Neale, Fleming, Highsmith, Livers
4. O' Neale, Fleming, Peat, Livers, Huntley
5. Williams, Oso, Maluach.

Some observations.

Hoiberg has no chance of being on the reg season roster.
I think Livers is done here.
Brea will probably live in G-league again.
We all know that Royce and/or Grayson need to be traded
I hope that Fleming starts this year.
We could really use one less starting caliber 2-guard, and one more starting caliber pg.
If Oso could shoot, he could spend some time at stretch 4 (If only)
I think we are going to bring Williams back on a two year deal, if for nothing else, he becomes a better trade asset.

I wonder what kind of trade value Green has at the moment.

Position labels are often arbitrary, because as you note, some players play different positions.

Also, I try to separate the two-way players from the standard 15-man roster. The Suns have some time to make a decision on Bouyea.

The mid season trade deadline? What are we waiting for, they aren't getting any better or any younger.

Brea should take Grayson's spot on the roster and get some spot minutes. I think he will develop, and he is already a pretty good 3 point shooter.

brea isn't on grayson's planet bro
He's not there yet, but don't see why he can't be. Grayson is really not that good a defender and mainly just a 3 point chucker. And you can only count on him for 50 games a year.

1/10 th the cost to. Doesn't matter anyway - we have 4 guards that should be playing in front of Grayson or Brea.

3 point chuckers don't jump around mikal bridges - bounce the ball off mikal's chest and out of bounds giving the suns the possession ultimately leading to the victory - grayson and oneale have often shined during crunch times - timely steals rebounds big shots - they're both quality 6th man types - it's why they are considered valuable/tradable assets

brea might be a bust - might not but he's coming into a league where everyone can hit the 3 - with defense becoming the more valued commodity

grayson and gillespie have led the league in 3 pt shooting at times - oneale was best in the league at shooting 3s in the 4th quarter for awhile - we have like 5 guys capable of dropping 8 3s on any given night - brea needs to play defense in the g-league

I agree. The Suns need to start giving their youngsters major playing time and move out some of the useless vets eating up both payroll and PT. But apparently, the Suns seem to be deluded that they have some kind of contending roster on their hands at the moment, which is utterly laughable.

Gotta have two to tango, two parties wanting to do business, and timing can be everything.

Here is the thing though, there are teams looking to dump salary right now. If we can't find a way to package them and take on a bit of salary - one of the advantages Ishbia gives us, I don't know what we are doing.

It makes zero sense to have a 12 man rotation when we are not a contending team and need to develop our young players. Is the goal to be a perennial 8th seed? Because that is the vibe I am almost getting. Granted I don't think we could do anything to contend this year or next - but we need to be building towards that goal.

I mean I don't know, if it was me, I would have traded Booker. This half rebuild crap is just being in denial of reality.

The Suns are not going to tell us what they are thinking, especially concerning trading players. It's to their advantage to pretend they are set.

Trading their best player, Booker, with no guarantee of success is not the answer. IMO, it's more of a Hail Mary approach.

Look how that Finals team came together around Booker. Lightning might not hit twice in the same spot, but it shows how a team can come together if the pieces align.

one day after the draft and you guys are already back to trading booker again - because you're so much smarter than the suns smh
The Suns... who painted themselves into this corner with a bunch of bad moves? Those Suns? Yeah, they're regular Albert Einsteins.

The Suns will likely tweak their roster, but it's still a good roster right now.

Personally, if they added a veteran role playing 4/5 to their current mix, I'd be pretty happy.

There we go. The Suns are set. (I'm only joking, but it opens up trade possibilities for him or other players)
