I've been against spending money on NBA merchandise ever since the Artest incident at the Palace, when players made all sorts of comments that showed how ungrateful they were for the fan following they had. I don't recall the exact guys or the comments, but it reeked of a lack of respect for the kind of life they had got purely because of the hordes of fans who pay too watch them play. They had this very condescending tone that totally put me off.

This magical run by the Suns has changed mmy mind a bit and if they do make it to the finals, I'm pretty sure I'd want to get a Nash and Amare jersey. What's the best place to buy this kind of stuff? ebay/other online stores/nba.com.replica sites ......?

experts in this, please advise.

Well, I have an orange Amare jersey that is way too large for me (men's size X-Large) if you're interested!

PM me. I may take it off your hands! I have older jerseys, like Kevin Johnson. I should update my wardrobe! :)

I heard the Team Shop closed at Fiesta Mall. :( Just go to JustSports in the Chandler Mall. They have plenty of Amare and Nash jerseys as well as other stuff.

errr...... I'm not in Phoenix. Presently in San Diego... Will be in Dallas starting tomorrow for a month atleast. Will be great to walk into a Sports bar in Dal wearing a Suns jersey if we make it past them.

any online places you know of/any dallas places you know of - to get Suns stuff?

Just remember Amare is changing from 32 to 1 next season, so that may make you want to hold off on getting an Amare jersey

that is where the catch is, my friend. hisi change makes the 32 more valuable to me. That would be the Amare of old. Vintage Amare.
We'll have to see Amare No.1 turns out.

Nasser: Actually, I was planning on buying a ticket from San Diego to Dallas with Phoenix as one of the stops. With a layover time of 3 hrs, I was thinking of sneaking into the city to buy a jersey. This was my plan originally ;)

nope. i dont think if this is being a 'fair weather fan'. I always support the Phoenix Suns and catch all their games on TV.
Damn it. Gimme a break man! I'm not from this country, have spent 2.5 yrs in Cincinnati, 0.5 in San Diego and I root like crazy for this team in Phoenix - a place I've not even been to!

I have only held back from directly spending on stuff from NBA like subscribing to NBA tv /NBA broadband/buying stuff from NBA stores. Thats because I know all that goes straight into NBA's coffers.

I don't know how money is shared by teams with the NBA. thats why I had qualms about buying Suns' stuff.
If they make it to the finals, I'd be way too excited and would allow myself to get a Suns' jersey. The elation associated with my Suns getting to the Finals is just too much for me.

I'd buy a Suns' jersey made by anyone not connected with the NBA revenue-wise on any day because I root for the team no matter what.

Now what's so 'fair weather' about it?

Anyway I don't give a **** about what you want to call it.
