It's funny, it doesn't really seem like he is shooting the 3 that well to me, because when he misses, he usually misses badly.

I am going to be super angry if they don't find him at least 15 minutes a game from game 1. I think he will quickly earn more time, and we will trade Williams at the deadline.
Williams is a perfect backup if Manman can become the main guy.

If Man Man can shoot 36% from three, it makes the spacing in our offense completely different. Suddenly Miles and Koa fit perfectly.
I mean I think the difference between 33% and 36% is overblown. We are talking about like 1 more make every 3 or 4 games.

I think Miles will more than make up for his 3 point shooting by giving us a legit source of post scoring and his ability to drive.

I don't agree on Koa though. He isn't going to be able to play at the same time as Williams or Oso till he gets a 3 ball. We can have one person on the floor who can't shoot them, but not 2.

Oso is better backup. He is paid way less, plays better team D, is a better distributor, not a health risk. Got a feeling his offensive game is going to improve to.

Don’t get me wrong I am high on Oso but as a small ball center. We still need all 3 guys

I like Fleming, but I don't think he has the assertiveness or handling to be a star. I like him a lot, but he isn't going to be Leonard. I like Peat, but, while I love his play, he's a high end role player.

Man man... of the young guys on our team, he is the guy who is showing star potential.

He's still only 19, if this level of 3 point shooting, defense and rebounding are legit, then this guy could absolutely be a big time player. If he develops his post game, then the sky is the limit.

The threes were a BIG surprise. Not him shooting the threes. Him MAKING the threes! He still looks nervous on a few of the attempts, but then he knuckles down, finds the range, and they start going in! Let's see if that translates to the NBA.

Man Man has that Alpha confidence. Rasheer is more a rythm player who needs to get in a groove. Peat has that Barkley, I want to mix it up mentality. It's their mental outlooks that define their play right now.

Maybe as Fleming gets more confidence over time, he'll get more aggressive. Man Man and Peat, they have outlooks that are good to go right now.

So. In the Durant trade the Suns got Green, Brooks, and Man Man. Hmm. That trade is looking better by day.
Burns and Kellen Olsen were talking about this. That trade can look really good in hindsight, especially how the first year with Durant ended for Houston.

When you trade for picks, it's what you do with them that matters most.

I've always contended the Suns need four guys (who can regularly play center not just small ball) unless they can find someone bigger to slide over at center. I don't think Fleming is there yet.

If one of Williams, Maluach or Oso got hurt, the Suns would again be in trouble.

True, but we have CJ Huntley on a two way. Plus, both Huntley and Fleming are playing the role of "break in case of emergency" fourth center spot, which hardley plays on most teams anyway.

From what I was hearing on a podcast, the podcasters sitting courtside were most impressed with Maluach's vocal command of the team. Leadership with players after they fouled guys or got techs, telling them next play, let's go. They said when you go to those gym's in summer league you can hear everything. They were impressed that Man Man was clearly the leader.

Yeah, much better than I originally thought it was. Basically it was Fleming too, we used all the 2nds we got to move up for him.

Yeah, we would not be in trouble. At least not till the playoffs. You can get by without a true center in the regular season against most teams.

However, Huntley is not close to being ready from what I have seen. And Fleming is not a center either.
