I wasn’t drafting low-ceiling projects with a premium draft pick

What makes you believe he has a low ceiling? He has quite possibly the highest ceiling in the entire draft, IMO. I was sold before we selected him and am in firmly in the camp he'll be a contributor before long. Whether he reaches his ceiling can be debated but I wouldn't be shocked if he becomes a top 3 C in the league.

i think i'll go with the experts and my eyes on this - no offense but patience is a virtue
Yeah. Me too. I don’t see slow feet when I watch him. He has long legs and lopes down the court in transition. The g-league thing concerns me, but that league is full of guards and wings trying to get noticed.

It’s good for him to be around Mark Williams. Mark is the style player Maluach needs to become.

The G-League is a lot like Summer League in it's style. No one should be concerned. The statlines aren't great but if you watch him exclusively he makes the right plays probably 75% of the time. His failures come because of the speed of the game at this next level. It's not nearly as plodding as the NCAA.

His angles are better in general than Richards, just guys are getting it up over him faster than he's used to. I notice Richards when guys are driving to the basket gets too much towards the basket ande allows guys to use their shoulder to push him away. He rarely stops a lay up.

Khaman has been getting it together. He's a 19 year old kid who is figuring things out.

Hope the doubters know their apologies should be as loud as the disrespect.

This video is almost all Fleming until Maluach's putback dunk at 2:40. After that is was time for Man Man to prove his doubters wrong. Fleming looks ready for the big league right now though.

He'll glue NHD to the bench, for sure.

I'd use him whenever Dunn passes up an open look. Make them compete with each other. Fleming blows a play on D and swap them.
I would like to see Fleming playing some really tight D. Opposing teams would hate to deal with Dunn, Brooks, Fleming in that case. Even Royce has played good D.

I am encourage with some of the guys playing the in the G-League. Some are showing flashes. Even Brea I think scored 29 points the other night while shooting over 45% from 3. I think these guys are where they should be though.

I need to see Khaman more on the floor to make comparisons and guesses. Was a pleasant surprise that Rasheer Fleming got some non-garbagetime minutes some weeks ago, but he got injured and I've not seen much of him thereafter. I think Maluach and Fleming along with Brea should spend January in the G-league. Build their confidence and let them play basketball. There's a lot left in the season.

You need to rewatch this. There is PLENTY of Man Man in that highlight reel. I like how he is using his body to clear space on his shot. Maluach was leaning away against NBA guys. He needs to have the same moves on the Suns. The second basket where he dribbles in and uses his body as he gets up a shot is classic big man ball. I think you remember Fleming because he has some super athletic plays that are hard to forget. The guy is going to be a freak if he plays that way in the NBA.

I pointed out his putback dunk because it showed the opposite of the "heavy feet" some folks have tried pointing out. He's 7'2" with a 7'5" wingspan or something, he doesn't need to jump much but he did throw it down there. Fleming was pretty impressive in that also which had my attention until the Man-Slam. What Khaman did prior to that was sort of a plain stuff but he turned it on as the game got closer, which was great to see.

I noticed this. We have to remember that he still has a teenagers body. He will likely add 25 pounds in the next three years, mostly muscle.

Totally agree looking at his frame. I know some here liked Queen, but you look at his body, and he's basically maxed out. Maybe convert some fat to muscle at best. Maluach could also gain an inch or two in height since he's only 19.

Fine but if it happens, we're all blaming you. He does not need to go up, just out.

Queen is an undersized C and more of a natural PF, IMO. He was more NBA ready but I still maintain Maluach had the highest ceiling of any frontcourt player not named Cooper Flagg.
