So sad for Jalen Green. Hamstrings are the worst. My childhood basketball idol KJ had the same thing, missing tons of games with hamstring injuries.

And I am eating some crow after being hard on Allen and Rolls Royce going into the season. They have been big for us.

ott and his spacing is a beautiful thing - not only is book thriving but grayson oneale and gillespie are feasting - FEASTING

the ball movement is like... well laundered money? every pass - every intentional switch - every masterfully timed cut to the basket - we don't even have to pass to the cutter we just want the defense to react giving the 3 pt shooter an extra half a second

and book is cooking his ass off - he's completely bought into the team rebounding but when point book and the mid range assassin can coexist like this we'll be seeing 5 or 6 players in double figures every game - that's how you survive in today's NBA

far as the assassin part goes...

it's also not just richards being worse than oso

oso has the benefit of book being on the court late in the first quarters where as richards runs with the bench

also in big body zubac scenarios oso doesn't have the body mass it takes - williams was getting boxed out a lot last night but zubac had to work for it allowing other suns to grab rebounds

richards is also better against the hefty variety and he was actually boxing lopez out - richards is getting downcourt faster too (compared to last season) not forcing his teammates to foul as much

oso will still see time late in the first quarter running with book and dunn and gillespie - couple minutes with richards and the second unit but that might be it unless we're playing the young fast and tall basketball brand which we're totally capable of

but all this competing has left our guy manman stranded courtside

it's great he gets to watch what it takes night in night out - that he's not watching the garbage we produced last year - I really hope they're going hard with his development in practice - sounds like our 5 on 5s are pretty hardcore

What the hell? What have they paid the zebras? DDJr can cling to Book and Book gets called for the offensive fouls? Ridiculous. What type of sport is this? It has always been that the defender must get to the spot first, not drape himself on the attacking player. What baloney.

It was one of the worst officiated games I can remember.

Jordan Ott says no excuses, next man up. They need to win the possession game and rebound.

i think ott really likes book and williams in at the same time - i don't think we've seen williams without book on the court - book watches williams and waits for it - got him the ball 2 or 3 crucial times last night - it's gotta do wonders for williams' confidence

I love Collin Gillespie's game, but he is too good a shooter to be only shooting 39.1% from the field.

I knew they'd prove their worth. I didn't expect it so quick and in a resounding fashion but it's good to see. Either or both should be positive trade pieces come the deadline. I know they both are a part of this team now but we need size and if we can get a PF then it'll be for the better.

It should be better but he only takes 2.4 2 point shots per game so that percentage mostly reflects his 3 point shooting which is just over 38%.

Yep. The Clippers made some runs and the refs tried to take the Suns players out of it, but we stuck with it with some key shots down the stretch. Great win. Especially putting two losses on the Clippers in such a short period of time. They crushed us a couple of weeks ago and at that time we looked like a bottom team. Now we don't look half bad, even without Jalen Green.

This might partially explain it, but with Gillespie's shooting stroke, I expect better results no matter where he shoots.

A theory I have, he plays more tentative than he should, because he is not on a long term contract.

For two seasons, I have been preaching the Suns should have locked him up on a multiyear contract.

With time Gillespie will develop into a McConnel with a 3pt shot. He has the potential.

This is where being young helps. You'd see Beal, KD, and CP3 become disengaged previously when the officiating wasn't going our way. This team has a "why not us?" sort of mentality that keeps them fighting.
