Bravehearts 8, Westfield 6: Chris Mondesir and Jake Yang both belted two-run singles with two outs in the bottom of the second as the Bravehearts (27-27) moved back to .500 with a win over the visiting Starfires (19-32) to retain control over the final spot in the Futures League playoffs.

Ryan Keating led Worcester with three hits, two RBIs and a run. Mondesir singled, tripled and scored twice and Alan Carpenter had two hits and scored.

Former Oakmont Regional star Caleb Allen picked up his second win after allowing four hits and three runs while striking out eight over six innings. Lane Leclair entered in the ninth and earned the save by striking out three batters.
