Suggs legal problems

Did you see the story on AZ Central? What a scam the guys who instigated the whole fight are now claiming Suggs was the instigator in a not so subtle attempt to extort money from Suggs. His attorney says they threatened to "harm his draft status" if he didn't settle the case for 2 million dollars!

They claim Suggs punched one guy(who weighs 145 pounds) and held the other down while he was hit with a piece of rebar. At least 7 witnesses dispute that story saying Suggs hit the guy in self defense(after he kept swinging at Terrell's brother who Terrell had stepped in front of), and that Terrell was hit in the head with the rebar.

I sure hope it doesn't impact his draft status sure sounds to me like someone is just trying to get money out of him.

It's to bad if these guys are trying to use Suggs to get easy money, but there are two other aspects of that story that are troubling.


Suggs attorney said that "detectives have operated on a theory that Donald Suggs and his cousin, Rico Suggs, might be charged with felony assault, while Terrell Suggs faced a possible misdemeanor complaint"

"Phoenix Police Detective Tony Morales has said Suggs has failed to cooperate by dodging interviews."

If I'm Suggs and I'm innocent, I'm at the police station right away trying to clear my name. I keep wondering why is Suggs dodging the police? It's almost as if he's stalling until after the draft. That's pure speculation on my part, but I know if people ever accuse me of doing something I didn't do, I stand up for myself right away to try and clear my name. Suggs doesn't seem to be doing that with the police which is odd. I don't think a misdemeanor charge would have much affect on his draft status anyway.

Everyone needs to stop being picky about players and the Law

I don't care if Suggs punches 20 cops...as long as he gives us 10+ sacks a season..it's all worth it

That statement and you are sick! I don't want a felon on the team even if they produce 20 sacks. We don't need trailer trash to win. That said I do not believe Suggs is bad, just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I don't know what kind of world you think we live in.......Yeah you know what Dallas atleast have 5 Superbowl rings....And look how many coke heads they have...I don't care about that...This is the NFL...This isn't HCNFL (Holy Christ National Football League) Look at Ray Lewis and Randy Moss...Pro Bowl Athletes.....I don't care, i just want a SuperBowl in Arizona! i'll take it any way i can

A world for the most part that is morally bankrupt. You should not want to be part of that but that's why we have free choice.
