Stewarts Creek has hired a football coach, naming former assistant Steven Reese to the position on Jan. 23.
Reese most recently was defensive coordinator at Brentwood Academy. He was a former assistant at Stewarts Creek, where he was defensive coordinator in 2020 under Ben Caudill. He then went to Ravenwood before moving over to Brentwood Academy.
Reese replaces Caudill, who resigned in early January.

Reese began his coaching career at Knox Catholic in 2009 before going to Alcoa (2010-11) to coach linebackers. He spent the 2012 season as defensive backs coach at CPA before spending the next eight years at FRA, including five seasons as defensive coordinator.
Brentwood Academy's defense held seven opponents to a touchdown or less in 2025.
Caudill resigned as Stewarts Creek's all-time winningest coach. The Red Hawks went 38-28 (37-26 not counting COVID-19 affected games) during his six seasons, making the playoffs in five of the six years, including an 11-2 record and 6A quarterfinals appearance in 2024.
Stewarts Creek missed the playoffs last season, finishing 4-6.
