The Golden State Warriors are currently facing off against the Houston Rockets in Game 4 of their first round series at home.

Golden State entered Monday’s game looking to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series after taking control of the series following their Game 2 victory.

Of course, the Warriors were able to defeat the Rockets in Game 2 despite their star forward Jimmy Butler being sidelined due to a pelvic and glute contusion.

The good news for Golden State is that Butler is back for Game 4 on Monday and he ended the first quarter with four points, 2 rebounds and one assist.

With Butler back, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has made a major decision regarding the rotation around the superstar trio of Butler, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green that once again includes Jonathan Kuminga.

It seems as though Kuminga has returned to being benched for Game 4 as he has yet to enter the game for the Warriors.

Kerr instead turned to Buddy Hield to start in Moses Moody’s place while Kevon Looney, Gui Santos, Quinten Post, Gary Payton II and Moody have all come off the bench.

Because of this, it looks as though Kerr has elected to bench Kuminga once again with Butler back in the lineup, which has been a theme since the end of the regular season.

Of course, Kuminga was benched in Golden State’s final game of the regular season and he has continued to rack up DNPs since then during the playoffs.

That changed whenever Butler suffered his injury in Game 2 as Kerr elected to start Kuminga in his place and also did so during Game 3.

Despite Kuminga’s solid play in Game 2 and 3, it is clear that Kerr is going to continue to bench him for the foreseeable future whenever Butler is in the lineup.
