Playing without Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors got dominated anew by the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night at Chase Center in San Francisco.
The Dubs are now behind in their second-round series versus Minnesota, three games to one, following the Timberwolves’ dominating 117-110 victory on the road in Game 4.
With the Warriors down by 21 points and with just under four minutes left in the fourth quarter, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr decided to pull his key players from the floor, including Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, and send some of the bench guys to the court to finish the contest, as noted by Jack Borman of “Locked On Sports Minnesota.”

The Warriors were ahead by two points entering the third period, but the game immediately turned into a one-sided affair, with Edwards and the Timberwolves dropping a 39-point salvo in the quarter while allowing only 17 points to Golden State.
The Dubs tried to stage runs in the fourth period, but Minnesota successfully snuffed out the host team’s attempts to turn the tide.
Golden State’s Game 4 starters simply didn’t have a great night. Butler had 14 points but took only nine attempts from the floor.
Green also had 14 points on 6-for-14 shooting from the field, while Brandin Podziemski needed 14 attempts from the field to get to 11 points. As a team, the Warriors posted just a 43.5 field goal percentage and went 8-for-27 from deep.
Just a loss away from elimination, the Warriors will look to extend the series in Game 5 on Wednesday at Target Center in Minnesota.
