The Golden State Warriors enter Game 5 against the Houston Rockets with an ample opportunity to put the series to bed and advance to the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

Jimmy Butler has been an integral part of the Warriors' success, as the they went 23-7 when Butler plays.

That was a concern for the Warriors and their fans after Butler went down with a pelvic contusion in Game 2. Without Butler guarding the Rockets' Jalen Green, Green scored 38 points.

While the pelvic contusion kept Butler out for Game 3, the Warriors managed to prevail thanks to 36 points by Stephen Curry. Buddy Hield and Gary Payton II stepped up as well.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr provided a massive announcement regarding Butler's status ahead of Game 5 via The Athletic's Anthony Slater.

"[Butler] said he's doing fine. I'm sure he's still in pain, but he's ready to play," said Kerr.

In the two full games he's played, Butler has averaged 26 points per game.

Having Butler out on the court has been crucial for the Warriors. Not only does he provide another offensive option to go along with Curry, but he often serves as the lead facilitator.

The Warriors will need the lore of "Playoff Jimmy" to continue tonight as they aim to eliminate the Rockets, even though there are likely some fans out there hoping the Warriors have to return to the Chase Center and clinch on their home court.

But wrapping the series up now would give the Warriors ample opportunity to rest, particularly the veterans and get healthy for what will likely be a hard-fought Western Conference Semifinal.
