The Golden State Warriors are on the brink of advancing to the next round in the NBA Playoffs.
Despite being the No. 7 seed, the Warriors were far from underdogs in this series.
It took a lot for Golden State to even get to this point. The Warriors had the chance to clinch a spot in the playoffs outright, but they lost two of their last three games, including against the Los Angeles Clippers on the season's final day.

The Warriors were then forced into the NBA Play-In Tournament and defeated the Memphis Grizzlies.
While Stephen Curry provided some late-game heroics, the Warriors' victory was largely due to Jimmy Butler's 38 points.
Butler has been essential to the Warriors' success since they made the trade to acquire him for Andrew Wiggins at the trade deadline.
He scored 25 points in Game 1 against the Rockets, though it was his astounding five steals that jumped off the stat sheet.
Warriors fans held their collective breath when Butler went down in Game 2 and was diagnosed with a pelvic contusion. He did not return and the Warriors fell.
The Warriors were able to withstand being without Butler for Game 3 with Curry scoring 36 points and players like Gary Payton II and Buddy Hield stepping up.
He returned for Game 4 and led the Warriors with 27 points, including five crucial free throws at the end to clinch the win.
Ahead of Game 5, the Warriors received good news, as Butler's status is probable.
Golden State will look to close out the series on the road Wednesday night. While Warriors fans would love to see their team clinch on their home court, the extra rest the Warriors could get by clinching Wednesday would be invaluable for a team of veterans, especially those dealing with nagging injuries.
