Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is undoubtedly the greatest shooter in NBA history. Curry is the league's all-time leader in 3-pointers made in the regular season (4,058) and the playoffs (637) as well.

There aren't too many scarier sights on the court for a player than when Curry goes up to shoot. The Houston Rockets have been trying every trick in the book in their first-round series against the Warriors to limit the two-time MVP's impact, but he's still managed to deliver plenty of magical moments.

Curry had 31 points against the Rockets in Game 1 and then went off for 36 in Game 3. The 37-year-old has put in these performances while dealing with a thumb injury in his shooting hand.

Smith shared his list of the top five clutch shooters still in the playoffs on "First Take" on Friday. He went with Kawhi Leonard at fifth, Jayson Tatum at fourth and Jamal Murray at third.

Smith didn't get much pushback for those selections from the rest of the crew, but did when he went with Curry at second. Despite their protests, he carried on and named New York Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson the most clutch shooter still in the playoffs.

Brunson won Clutch Player of the Year in 2025 and excelled down the stretch in the playoffs against the Detroit Pistons. He has scored 5.4 points per game in the clutch this postseason, which ranks fourth in the NBA.

Brunson also hit a game-winning 3-pointer against the Pistons in Game 6 to clinch victory in the series for the Knicks. Smith reckons he has shown enough in these playoffs to get the nod over Curry.
