Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry is on the tail end of his NBA career, something both he and the Warriors are well aware of. Longtime Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently signed a two-year extension to try and win one more NBA title before the greatest shooter of all time calls it a career.

However, it begs the question: What’s next for Curry after basketball? His teammate, Draymond Green, thinks a future on the PGA tour is very possible for Curry, who is already an avid golfer, should he decide that’s the route he wants to go in.

“Bro, I went to golf with Steph one time. He incredible. He could real deal possibly be a professional golfer. He can definitely be a golf pro, no question,” Green said.

“I think Steph could,” he responded when asked if non-golfers could convert to being a golfer and make the tour within three years. “And by the way, I don’t take the sport for granted. I know how hard it is.So I don’t want to disrespect those guys. Just like I hate when people say, ‘Yo, he could, or I could play in the NBA’

“Like, bro, no you can’t. That’s not a realistic thing for you. Shut up. So take what I’m saying with a grain of salt. I don’t want to disrespect those guys. But I golfed with Steph at Cal Club. It’s not like some crazy simple course. He didn’t get a bogey till the ninth. He didn’t miss a single shot until the ninth or tenth hole. It was like par, par, birdie, par, birdie. He incredible.”

Interestingly, Curry recently confirmed that he plans to pivot to golf once his basketball playing days are over.

“I’m going to pivot to golf,” Curry said in an appearance on the “Fudd Around and Find Out” podcast. “Eventually, there’s a very niche community that’ll know what I’m talking about; I want to qualify for a US Open as an amateur. That would be another goal.”

If Green’s judgment is anything to judge by, Curry might be playing in the US Open with a tour card once he retires from the hardwood, rather than qualifying as an amateur. Do you think he has what it takes to be great at two professional sports the same way Bo Jackson did in the NFL and MLB?
