Who will sign four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs? It's been an eventful week since Diggs was found not guilty of felony strangulation and assault and battery charges.

In case you haven't heard, the Washington Commanders need another starting wide receiver. Diggs, 32, is a free agent and coming off another 1,000-yard season. He was Drake Maye's top target on the defending AFC champion New England Patriots in 2025. There's also the face that Diggs is from nearby Montgomery County, Maryland, not far from Northwest Stadium, where the Commanders play their home games.

Washington defensive end Charles Omenihu posted "burgundy and gold" in response to a message from Diggs on his Instagram page about wanting to play in 2026. Diggs responded with eyeball emojis.

Over the weekend, Diggs held a Mother's Day event in the DMV, where he was asked about playing for the Commanders. Here's what he said.

"Yeah, a little bit," Diggs said when asked if he had talked to some Washington players, via 106.7 The Fan. "I'm familiar with the city and I'm familiar with the people. So, we gonna see down the pipe over these next couple of months. What looks good, what makes sense. I definitely wanna shed some light on them and might go check 'em out for a little bit. It's love. It's hometown. So, it makes sense, but right now, I kinda like to take a breath. I've been training, I've been doing everything I'm supposed to."

The social media game continued on Wednesday, when an Instagram page called "Redskins Alumni" posted an image of Diggs in a Commanders' uniform alongside quarterback Jayden Daniels.
