PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially hired Patrick Graham as the team’s new defensive coordinator under head coach Mike McCarthy.

The 47-year-old spent the past four seasons as the defensive coordinator with the Las Vegas Raiders, staying with the organization under a trio of head coaches.

Graham brings 16 years of NFL experience, including a total of six years as a defensive coordinator.

Prior to his time with the Raiders, Graham served as assistant head coach/defensive coordinator with the New York Giants (2020-2021).

Graham first served as a defensive coordinator with the Miami Dolphins in 2019. He spent the 2018 season as the Green Bay Packers inside linebackers coach and defensive run game coordinator.

In his first stint with the Giants, Graham coached the defensive line from 2016-2017.

Graham began his NFL coaching career in New England, where he spent seven seasons with the Patriots (2009-2015). He was a coaching assistant in 2009 before being promoted to defensive assistant in 2010 and linebackers coach in 2011. Graham moved to the defensive line from 2012-2013 before returning to linebackers in 2014-2015.
