As free agency rapidly approaches, the Pittsburgh Steelers could be forced to address a few major questions on the offensive side of the ball, particularly if veteran starting left guard Isaac Seumalo departs as a free agent.

There are few guards that could take Seumalo's place, however, such as David Edwards of the Buffalo Bills, who has emerged as one of the top free agents.

Stats (Per PFF)

2019: 689 snaps played, 1 sack allowed, 9 penalties2020: 1,006 snaps played, 3 sacks allowed, 1 penalty2021: 1,086 snaps played, 6 sacks allowed, 3 penalties2022: 230 snaps played, 3 sacks allowed, 1 penalty2023: 148 snaps played, 0 sacks allowed, 1 penalty2024: 975 snaps played, 0 sacks allowed, 6 penalties2025: 1,035 snaps played, 3 sacks allowed, 3 penalties

Fit with Steelers offense

One of the league's better pass-blocking guards, Edwards would provide the Steelers with a smooth transition on the offensive line if Seumalo walks away. With 103 games of experience, including 77 starts, Edwards is arguably the best guard Pittsburgh can pursue in free agency.

Contract prediction

Signing Edwards wouldn't be cheap for Pittsburgh, especially considering his projected average annual value of $19.9 million, per Spotrac. We at Steelers Wire rounded up to predict a four-year, $80 million contract for Edwards.
