Oh geez, MadBum starts out the top of the 3rd with a walk, which leads to
a 3-run HR. Cleveland is up 4-0.

Steve just pointed out that he gave up more fly balls last season than any
other pitcher in the NL. If there is one thing worse than a lineup of hitters
who try to hit every pitch into the air, it is an ace who pitches right into that.

Hopefully, MadBum will make adjustments during Spring Training.

Now 5-0 Cleveland in the middle of the 3rd.

With Bumgarner out, it's scrubs' time early.

Unless the D-backs win today, their winning
(losing?) percent will be under .200.

Escobar up with the bases loaded and one out.

A run scores on a wild throw to the plate.

D-backs are on the board.

And a sac fly by Peralta to make it 5-2.

1st and 3rd with two out.

Young pitched four scoreless innings -- retiring 10 and giving up one single -- and it's been
a dull game once it became 5-2 Indians.

Matt Herges, our new pitching coach, gave a good interview. He is a people person.

We needed an improvement at that position. 'Hope our new batting coach does the same.
Results will show if he can get the hitters to stop trying to hit every pitch into the air and
into the shift.

The Indians with a (can't call it) insurance run in the top of the 9th.

D-backs lose the Spring Training game 6-2.

How many pitches? That is the greater issue

I searched every box score and none showed how many pitches.
He did throw 14 1st pitch strikes to his 15 batters in 4 innings.

Robbie's 3 hits were a solo HR in the 3rd and 2 singles.

Hie ERA so far is 1.59 with a WHIP of 0.88.

He is going to be using an over-the-top out-of-a-windup delivery,
instead of continuing to pitch out of a stretch with no runners on
base, for a more fluid motion. He learned it from Greinke.

That news, as well as his pitching so far, sound promising. We
might just have a legitimate #2 starter behind MadBum. That is
probably the best news we could hear. Although both of them
pitch lefty.

The second best news would be if Archie could be a dependable
closer, rather than his 9th innings being nail biters.

I’d pay for this kind of broadcast. So interesting.

Yup, the road game vs. the Angels today is the one on Fox Sports Net.

I wonder if it will be Steve & BB or the Angels feed, being a road game.
