Thanks for sharing that. It will be great to see the D-backs in a Major League park, even Dodger Stadium.

And on Fox Sports AZ.

And I'm glad that Starling decided to not retire following the loss of his wife.

Glad for him. It will be a good outlet to help him cope.

Why are you against piped in crowd noise?!?

Long before the D-backs, when KTAR played Vinnie's calls of Dodger games into
Phoenix, it would have not been the same if his mike picked up just his words,
as nearly perfect as he is, were saying.

Or, to put it another way, watching a bowling match without the sounds of the
pins going down. Crickets!

Especially with today's technology, it should be even better than anything in
the past.

I'm curious why you would not want the sound of baseball on the telecasts.
Silent movies passed from the scene a long, long time ago. ;)

I am not against the sound of baseball but rather piped in crowd noise. I find it cheesy watching an event and hear fans but seeing the stands being empty. Stupid imo.

NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST
D-backs: Robbie Ray, LHP
Under club control through: 2020

Ray has been a fixture on the trade-rumor market for well over a year, but now that he’s headed for free agency at the end of the season, a trade could very well happen if Arizona gets off to a bad start in 2020. Ray will earn a smidge less than $3.5 million for his prorated salary, so if the D-backs aren’t confident they will be able to sign him to a new deal next winter, teams around the league would surely show interest in a solid starter at that price.

FROM NOTHING TO ALL THREE AT ONE TIME

Pardon the informality but, during this COVID-19 shut-in period, here is my hand-written
copy of the composite sequential TV schedules for the D-backs, Suns and Mercury.

Hey Ronin, who would have thought that all three seasons of our favorite teams would be
occurring at the same time. I'm posting this to all three boards.

Hopefully, they'll be able to get through the schedules in good health.
