The Pulaski County Lady Maroons were back in action at the Lady Invitational of The South at Allen County-Scottsville on Monday in the consolation bracket, as they took on Pleasant (Marion), Ohio. It was quite a bounce-back performance for the Maroons as well, as they cruised past their opponents by a final score of 71-46.

Pulaski improves to 8-4 with the victory and advances to Tuesday’s fifth place game in the Lady Invitational of The South. It will be a battle of the Lady Maroons, as Pulaski will take on Madisonville-North Hopkins.

Somerset falls to Adair on the road

The Somerset Briar Jumpers had their first contest in nearly a week on Monday afternoon, as they made the trip to Columbia to take on the Adair County Indians. They weren’t able to continue their momentum from a two-game winning streak a week prior though, as they fell by a final score of 74-62.

Somerset falls to 5-4 with the loss. The Jumpers will next travel to Rockcastle County on Friday for a district contest with the Rockets.

Warriors drop semifinal game against Bell

The Southwestern Warriors were confident heading into their contest on Monday against the Bell County Bobcats, a semifinal game in the Redmond Auto Group Holiday Classic hosted by Bell County. Unfortunately, the Warriors couldn’t get anything going on the offensive end of things as they fell in a double-digit loss 72-53.

Southwestern falls to 8-3 for the season. The Warriors will be back in action on Tuesday in the third place game against the South Laurel Cardinals.
